Boasting a higher bio-diversity than Europe and the United States combined, in a land mass smaller than that of West Virginia, makes Costa Rica an ideal eco-destination. While the country has only about .25% of the world’s landmass, it contains 5% of the world’s biodiversity! From soaring volcanoes and cloud forests to quaint villages and stunning tropical beaches, it’s quite easy to cover a lot of ground, without having to cover a lot of ground. This small Central American gem is so packed with a splendid array of bio-diversity, it makes for the perfect destination for nature lovers to explore.
